Kindergarten Geometry:
Two dimensional and three dimensional shapes are a new set of vocabulary for Kindergarteners. Begin with Meet the Shapes Helper Freebie found here. Then work on recognizing shapes by Sorting 2D and 3D shapes. Reinforce by completing worksheets for Name that polygon and Name that 3D shape. Then match the 3D shape to it's name. Reinforce with cut and paste and a 3D shapes tab book. Move on to more advanced recognition of number of sides of 2D shapes and number of faces, edges, and vertices of 3D shapes. Build 3D geometric shapes with paper or toothpicks yourself or purchase from Amazon.
